Our 2006 Sonoma County Fumé Blanc strikes an excellent balance between bright, crisp varietal character and mineral undertones that have become hallmarks of Dry Creek Vineyard Fumé Blanc. Inviting aromas of fresh grass, lemon, and grapefruit lead to juicy flavors of citrus, lime, and crushed stone nuances. The finish is supported by crisp, food friendly acidity that speaks to the classic character of the delicious Sauvignon Blanc varietal.

From the wine maker www.herzogwinecellars.com
This wine is a blend of cool (Edna Valley) and warm (Sierra Foothills) Syrah grapes. Both were harvested at elevated º Brix, fermented and aged separately. Elevation occurred in French and American oak barrels for about eight months. Prior to bottling, the wines were blended to produce a wine with ripe fruit and soft tannins. Look for fruit forward notes of blackberry, black cherry, white pepper and spice complemented by a judicious use of oak and bright acidity.

The 2006 Cypress Vineyards Merlot is purple red in color with youthful hues and medium density. One of the most memorable characteristics of this wine is the lovely aromas of fresh cherry and lifted spice, complemented by a subtle hint of mint and leather. On the palate, the wine follows through to a long and satisfying finish. I would recommend the 2006 Cypress Vineyards Merlot with beef filets with a red wine sauce or barbecued ribs. This wine should be enjoyed in its youth or cellared up to five years.

Abundant spring flowers and floral blossoms burst forth on the nose of this fresh white wine. Crisp and refreshing, this fruit basket boasts brilliant flavors of green apple and tropical touches of pineapple. Though crisp and bright, this wine does have a softer side: honeydew melons and apricots add a sweet lusciousness from mid-palate to the soft and silky finish.
